CREAM CHEESE HOT CAKE


 Lately I'm so crazy about headphone (ok, not lately, haha, I'm crazy about sound a long time ago).


But I have a plan to buy a new Hifi headphone, so I have to read a load of review before buying it . When I realized, it's Sunday, haha, and nothing for me to eat as a breakfast, plus my kitchen is so untidy -*-. 
I opened the fridge and found half pack of cream cheese, and you know that I was not in a mood for anything complicate or take time, I just wanted something quick and very, very easy. I think about using cream cheese instead of the butter in making pan cake a long time ago, but never had a chance to try it, well until today. 
If you want a definition of hot cake, for me it's a thicker and sweeter kind of simple pancake, so I want to call my pancake --- HOT CAKE, hehe.
If  you're hungry this recipe will serve 1, but if not, it makes 6 pieces of hot cake, so 2-3 people can have them as light meal or snacks. I like to eat mine with load of syrup (I love Golden syrup, it's so delicious), fruit and whipped cream (butter will makes them too rich as it has a lot of cream cheese already). Anyway, it's your HOT CAKE so you will be the one who decide how do you want it, Enjoy!


Recipe: CREAM CHEESE HOT CAKE

 CREAM CHEESE HOT CAKE
Make about 6 (6-7cm cake)


100g ........................... Cream cheese, soft
30g ............................. Light brown sugar
.................................... Pinch of salt
60ml ........................... Milk
1 .................................. Egg
1/2 tsp ......................... Vanilla extract
100g ............................ Cake flour
1 1/2 tsp ....................... Baking powder
...................................... Oil for frying
For serving
...................................... Fruits
...................................... Syrup
...................................... Whipped cream





 Beat the cream cheese with sugar and salt until smooth.
Add egg and milk and beat until combine.


 Pour the vanilla extract into the bowl and beat to combine.


 Sift flour and baking powder into the bowl.


 Mix until smooth.


 Heat a skillet and brush lightly with oil.
Pour the batter into the skillet.


 Cook until golden on both sides.


Serve with whipped cream, fruits of your choice and lot of syrup if you want ^^.
